Use case: documentation

Documents that never go stale.

Manuals, onboarding guides, specs and price lists change. Share them as links and replace the file when they do: everyone with the link sees the new version, and no outdated copy is left in an inbox.

Try it for 14 days for $1, then plans from $20 a month. Plans from $20 a month. Cancel any time.

How it plays out

An example: Bark Robotics, a fictional warehouse-robotics company, onboarding a new customer.

  1. An onboarding pack

When Northwind Logistics signs, Bark shares one folder link: the deployment guide, the safety manual, the integration spec and a training video. Anyone at northwindlogistics.com can open it.

  2. A spec changes

Bark's engineers update the integration spec and replace the file. The link Northwind already has shows the new version, so nobody builds against the old one.

  3. What gets read

Bark sees that Northwind's team keeps returning to the same section of the deployment guide, and rewrites it before the next customer goes live.

One link, always current

  • Replace a file, and every link to it shows the new version
  • Share a whole folder as one link
  • Limit access to a customer's company, or to people you name
  • Allow downloads when people need a copy offline
  • See which pages get read, so you know what to improve

More on secure document sharing

The new share link dialog, with controls for who can open the link, downloads and an expiry
                    date.

Common questions

Which formats can I share?

PDF, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, Markdown, plain text and video. Each opens in the browser, with nothing to install.

Can people keep a copy?

Allow downloads on the link when they need one. A downloaded copy won't update itself, so the link stays the place for the current version.

Can I share a whole set of documents?

Yes. Share a folder as one link, and readers open each file inside it.

Retire the stale attachment

Nothing for your readers to install, and nothing charged per viewer.
