For founders, sales teams and anyone who sends documents

Document tracking for PDFs, decks and video.

Share a pitch deck, proposal or PDF as a link instead of an attachment, and see which pages get read, how long people stay on each one, and which investors or customers keep coming back.

Try it for 14 days for $1, then plans from $20 a month. Plans from $20 a month. Cancel any time.

What you see after you send

Pitch deck tracking and PDF tracking work the same way: the document opens in Sheepdoc's viewer, so every page view is counted, and the reader has nothing to install.

Time on every page

Each view expands into a chart of the time spent on each page or slide. The pages people skip are as useful as the ones they read: they show what to cut next time.

  • An email when your document is opened
  • How much of each video gets watched
  • Repeat visits, so you know where interest is building

Readers, filed by company

Everyone who opens a link lands in one place with the company they work for, and each company becomes an account with its contacts and links together. Tag accounts your way, like Prospect or Hot, and share the picture with your team.

How it works

  1. Upload

PDF, PowerPoint, OpenDocument or video. Or share a whole folder as one link.

  2. Share a link

Choose who can open it and whether it can be downloaded, then send it however you like.

  3. Follow the reading

See the time on each page for every view, and follow up where the interest is.

Common questions

How does PDF tracking work?

You upload the PDF and send a link to it. The reader opens it in their browser, and Sheepdoc records which pages they view and for how long.

Does it work for pitch decks sent to investors?

Yes. Send one link per fund and you see which slides each one read, an email tells you when they open it, and you can limit the link to verified addresses at the fund with downloads off.

Can I update a document after I've sent it?

Yes. Replace the file and every link to it shows the new version, so nobody is left reading an old draft.

Do readers need an account or an app?

No. Documents open in the browser. Depending on how you set up the link, readers may be asked for their email first.

Can I track a PDF I already sent as an attachment?

No. Tracking works through the link, which is also what lets you update the document or switch access off later.

Can I see who opened my document?

When a link asks for an email, each view is tied to the address the reader gave, and you get an email when they open it.

Can I share several documents at once?

Yes. Share a folder as a single link, and the reader can open each file inside it.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. Documents open in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop.
